About New UPG Initiatives

Unreached People Groups (UPGs):
It is helpful to understand the term 10/40 window when talking about UPGs. The 10/40 Window is the rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia approximately between 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. The 10/40 Window includes the majority of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists. While it constitutes only one-third of earth's total land area, nearly two-thirds of the world's people reside in the 10/40 Window, an estimated 3.09 billion individuals live in approximately 5,984 unreached people groups. AIM’s focus is to fund missionaries who are effectively reaching these UPGs who have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
